I've tried to download MS Localization Studio and my AVG opens saying the setup file is a malware file and asks me to remove it. Any ideas?

If you believe the file is a "false positive", then access the AVG's Settings menu and locate the Quarantine zone. Locate the file in the list and then add it to the Exclusions list. Accept all changes, then proceed to the installation of the software like you would normally do and it should work.
Tip: Never add files to the exclusion list if you downloaded them from 3rd party websites.
Recently, when opening Localization Studio 6.11, I got error 'Error: The Operation failed: " and no further information is provided. I tried almost everything: downloaded newer version - 6.12; checked all Windows updates and downloaded/installed all. And nothing helped - still can't open the program. This problem occurred recently, I didn't changed anything in my computer or this program.

This application is used internally. This means that it is not available for public use or downloading, therefore support does not exist. However, if you still have the application, you can use the contact page to get in touch with their representative. He/she will give you all the instructions needed and, possibily, an update to fix this issue of the application.
I'm using LocStudio 4.71 and accented characters are not showing up. I need Serbian Latin and Serbian Cyrillic characters, but I don't get them even when I change keyboards. I use Windows XP with SP3 and Office 2007.

It's possible that you also need the necessary fonts. Sometimes the keyboard layouts allow you to type only a small portion of the letters from a certain language or layout scheme. Install the necessary fonts if you have and then go to Regional Settings in Control Panel and add the languages again. For each layout, there are multiple options. You've probably selected another layout scheme for your keyboard.
I want to update Microsoft Localization Studio to version 4.8. Can you help?

You cannot "upgrade" LocStudio as such. You have to completely uninstall any previous version of LocStudio, and then install the new version that you want to use. Note that is not possible to have 2 different versions of LocStudio on the same machine.
